Laconia US3/Endicott Street Bridge Construction to Begin April 27, 2020
Traffic to Be Detoured During 30 Day Period

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces that beginning early Monday April 27, 2020 the Laconia US Rte. 3/Endicott Street Bridge in the Weirs which carries US3 over the NH Railroad will be closed to traffic. The closure is expected to be in effect for 30 days and will likely extend through the Memorial Day weekend. This project, originally scheduled to begin April 6, 2020 was delayed based on a delivery postponement of critical materials due to Covid-19 pandemic constraints. Now that materials are available, work will be accelerated in order to reduce traffic impact during the summer season.

A signed vehicle detour will be in place which includes Routes: US3, Business US3, and NH 106. A signed pedestrian detour will be in place through the Endicott Rock Park.

The replacement of this Red-listed bridge is critical to ensure the safety of the Rte. 3/Endicott Street pedestrian and vehicular traffic as well as the rail traffic below. Motorists and pedestrians should take care to follow all posted construction signs.

The prime contractor for this $1.18 Million dollar project is Evroks Corporation of Northfield NH.
