I-93 Bridge Work at Exit 42 in Littleton
Ramp Closures Will Detour Traffic Starting April 15th

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that bridge preservation work on the US Route 302/NH Rt 10 (Meadow Street), over I-93 Exit 42 will begin on Monday, April 13, 2020.

The scope of this project includes: replacement of the bridge deck pavement and membrane, partial and full depth concrete repair, and replacement of expansion joints at both abutments. In addition, work will include improvement of sidewalks to meet current ADA requirements, guardrail updating and bridge beam ends will be cleaned and painted at both abutments.

The set up work will be completed in two phases. On Monday and Tuesday construction crews will prepare existing signals for phase one and begin striping/taping and delineation for a traffic shift to accommodate the construction work.

On Wednesday both lanes on Rt 302/Rt 10 will be shifted to the West/South bound side with subsequent detours:

Detour 1 – The I-93 Exit 42 Southbound On Ramp will be closed to US Rt 302 westbound traffic during construction. Westbound US Rt 302 travelers seeking to travel south will be detoured to Exit 43 to turn around.

Detour 2 - The I-93 Exit 42 Northbound On Ramp will be closed to US Rt 302 eastbound traffic during construction. Eastbound US Rt 302 travelers seeking to travel north will be detoured to Exit 41 to turn around.

Detour 3 – Truck Detour: The Southbound Exit 42 off ramp will be closed to trucks. Trucks intending to access US Route 302 Eastbound / NH Rt 10 will be detoured to Exit 41 to turn around.

This work is contingent upon weather conditions and current COVID-19 constraints. Evrocks Corp of Belmont, NH is the prime contractor for this project expected to be completed in the Fall of 2020.
