Combined Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting in Wakefield
NHDOT to Discuss Proposed Upgrades to a Railroad Crossing over NH Route 16

Arrangements have been made by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to hold a combined public officials/public informational meeting to discuss the proposed highway safety improvement project on NH Route 16 in Wakefield. The project involves upgrades to an existing railroad crossing that carries the NH Northcoast railroad across NH 16 approximately 250 feet south of the intersection of NH 16 and NH 125/NH 153 in the Town of Wakefield.

The meeting is scheduled to be part of Town of Wakefield's Board of Selectmen's Meeting on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 7:00 pm, at the Wakefield Town Hall Conference Room, 2 High Street, Sanbornville, NH.

The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to solicit public input to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs and community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
