Little Bay Bridge Bike/Pedestrian Pathway Opening
Pathway provides safe travel for bicycles and pedestrians between Newington and Dover, NH.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the opening of the new Bike/Pedestrian Pathway constructed on the Northbound Little Bay Bridge connecting Newington and Dover across Little Bay.

At 1:00 pm on Friday August 2, 2019 the new mixed Bike/Pedestrian pathway constructed across the Northbound Little Bay Bridge will be opened for use. This temporary Bike/Pedestrian pathway was constructed in response to the emergency closure of the General Sullivan Bridge in September of 2018 due to structural deficiencies.

Access to the pathway from the Newington side is located on Shattuck Way, just south of Rockingham Electric. Access from the Dover side is located directly across from the easterly Hilton Park entrance.

Motor Vehicles are not permitted on the new pathway.

The work was completed by Severino Trucking Company, Inc. of Candia New Hampshire in conjunction with the Newington-Dover 11238Q project.
