Bridge Preservation Project Begins in Bethlehem
US Route 302 Bridge Over Interstate 93 at Exit 40

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces construction work is beginning in Bethlehem on the US Route 302 bridge over Interstate 93 at Exit 40.

The bridge preservation work includes bridge deck and pier repairs, removal of the median island on the bridge, replacement of the granite curb with concrete curb, and new pavement.

Two-way, two lane traffic will be maintained during work and non-work hours. Short term periods of one-lane, alternating two-way traffic should be expected.

Concrete barrier will be used to shift traffic on US Route 302. The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph on US 302 within the project limits.

Miller Construction Inc. of Windsor, VT is the contractor for the $1.33 million project, which has a final completion date of October 18, 2019.
