Night Lane Closures on I-93 South in Derry
Movement of Steel for Bridge over Kendall Pond Rd.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces night work will begin Tuesday, February 12, 2019 on I-93 southbound in Derry. This work will consist of transporting structural steel for installation on the I-93 bridge over Kendall Pond Road.

This work is scheduled to be done between the hours of 3:00 am and 5:00 am and will require the use of lane closures. Southbound I-93 traffic will encounter lane closures and intermittent 10 to 15 minute delays as the steel beams are removed from trucks located in the travel lane into the adjacent work zone for storage outside of traffic. Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the travelling public. This work is expected to take one night to complete, however additional nights may be required due to weather conditions.

This work is part of the final I-93 mainline construction in the Exit 4 area (Derry/Londonderry), as well as the Exit 4 on and off ramp construction, the NH Route 102 reconstruction (including the reconstruction of the NH Route 102 Bridge over I-93), and Pillsbury Road/Ash Street (including the Pillsbury Road/Ash Street Bridge over I-93).

R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $62.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2020.
