Blasting Work Planned on NH Route 101 Project in Bedford
Temporary Traffic Delays for Two Weeks Beginning October 4

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces blasting work is expected to begin Thursday, October 4, 2018 on the NH Route 101 widening project in Bedford.

Planned blasting will occur between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm daily for approximately two weeks. This blasting is necessary to widen a portion of Route 101 from two lanes to five lanes in the area of Liberty Hill Road and Shaw Drive. Traffic will be stopped in all directions for a several minutes before, during and after the blast, and will resume after the area blasted is deemed safe and free of any debris. Traffic delays should be anticipated. Motorists are asked to obey all work zone signage and be alert in the active work zone.

This work is part of the $15 million NH Route 101 improvements and road widening in Bedford. The general contractor is Continental Paving of Londonderry, New Hampshire.
