Replace two bridges carrying NH Route 119 over the Connecticut River by constructing a new bridge just downstream

- PUBLIC NOTICE –

HINSDALE NH-BRATTLEBORO VT: A004(152); 12210C

The Commission appointed by the Governor and Executive Council on July 19, 2017 for the project noted above will meet at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the NH Department of Transportation, Room 112/113, 7 Hazen Drive in Concord, NH, to discuss the proposed project. This meeting is a public proceeding under RSA Chapter 91-A. The intent of the meeting is not to take testimony. This meeting will serve as review of the project and the formalities of the Public Hearing Process for the Commission. The public may observe the proceedings.

Any individuals needing assistance or auxiliary communication equipment due to sensory impairment or other disability, should contact Charles R. Notification of the need for assistance must be made at the earliest convenience. This project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.

HINSDALE NH- BRATTLEBORO VT, A-004(152), 12210C

Replace the two bridges carrying NH 119 over the Connecticut River, bridge numbers 041/040 and 042/044, with a single structure and reconstruct the adjoining segment of NH 119 on new location. The reconstruction of NH 119 will begin approximately 600' south of Georges Field Road and extend north and west on a new alignment approximately 0.6 miles to a new intersection with VT 142 900' south of the existing intersection of NH 119 and VT 142. The improvements to VT 142 will extend 500' north and 1,000' south of its new intersection with NH 119.

This project may impact historic properties.
