Work Begins on NH 9 Project in Roxbury and Sullivan
Tree Clearing as Part of Reconstruction of 2.1 Miles

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces tree clearing operations will begin on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 as part of the reconstruction of a section of NH Route 9 in Roxbury and Sullivan.

This tree clearing work, which is expected to continue into the week of January 22nd, will require alternating one-way traffic zones. Electronic message signs will be used to alert and inform motorists. Both uniformed officers and flaggers will be used to control traffic and guide motorists through the work zones. The travelling public should expect minor delays, particularly during peak traffic hours. All work will be dependent on roadway conditions and weather.

The project involves full roadway reconstruction and bridge work along NH Route 9 beginning near the Granite George Ski Area in Roxbury and continuing for approximately 2.1 miles to the Center Street intersection in Sullivan. R.S. Audley of Bow, NH is the prime contractor for the $13.5 million project, which has a final completion date of July 2020.
