Bedford – Manchester Public Officials/Informational Meeting
Bridge Preservation on I-293/NH 101 over the Merrimack River

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will hold Public Officials/Informational Meetings to discuss planned bridge preservation efforts on Interstate 293 (northbound and southbound)/NH 101 (eastbound and westbound) over the Merrimack River and PanAm Railroad.

This work would consist of bridge deck pavement and membrane replacement, partial and full depth concrete deck repairs, and the replacement of the modular expansion joints at the piers and pier repairs, with associated traffic control to complete all the preservation work.

The first public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 7:00 pm as part of the Bedford Town Council Meeting, which will be held at the Bedford Town Meeting Room, 10 Meetinghouse Road, in Bedford, New Hampshire.

The second public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 7:30 pm as part of Manchester's Mayor and Alderman Meeting, and will be held at the Aldermanic Chambers, 3rd Floor, One City Hall Plaza, in Manchester, New Hampshire.

The purpose of these meetings is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
