Ossipee Public Officials/Informational Meeting
Improvements to Intersection of NH 28 and NH 171

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will hold a combined Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting to discuss proposed safety improvements at the intersection of NH Route 28 and NH Route 171 in Ossipee. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the Bub Avery Memorial Gymnasium, 55 Main Street, in Center Ossipee, New Hampshire.

The NHDOT is in the process of investigating cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places that are located within the project area and that may be affected by the proposed project. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Additional information about the project will be provided at the public informational meeting, and can be found on the NHDOT web site at

The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs and community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
