Planned Discussion with Vessel Owners Regarding the Hampton Harbor Bridge
To Discuss the Repairs Made and Potential Changes to Lift Regulations

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will be meeting with vessel owners, NH Port Authority, and US Coast Guard to discuss interim modifications to the bridge lift regulations of the Hampton Harbor Bridge.

This meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 26th at the Seabrook Beach Village Precinct Building at 310 Ocean Boulevard at 1:00 pm and is open to all interested participants.

Built in 1949, the Hampton Harbor Bridge has recently been experiencing some mechanical issues. NHDOT – Bureau of Bridge Maintenance has made emergency repairs to the mechanical components. These repairs are temporary in nature and the Department has some reservations as to how long the repairs will last under the current lifting regulations. The Department plans to have a project ready by this Fall to provide a long-term repair for the recent issues.

This meeting is to gather input from the users of Hampton Harbor about what potential changes to the lift regulations can be accommodated.
