Swanzey Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting
Safety Improvements to Intersection of NH 32 and Sawyers Crossing Rd.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will hold a combined Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting to review and discuss alternatives for improving the safety of the intersection of NH Route 32 (Old Homestead Highway) and Sawyers Crossing Road in Swanzey.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday July 20 at 6:30 pm at Whitcomb Hall, 17 Main Street in West Swanzey, New Hampshire. Meeting materials will be available for inspection beginning at 6:00 pm, with the formal presentation at 6:30 pm. Additional project information can be found on the NHDOT website at

The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.

This project may have an effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Preservation Act. Additional information will be provided at the public informational meeting.
