New Traffic Alignment for NH 125 In Plaistow
To Allow for Completion of the Rehabilitation of Route 125

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces a planned traffic alignment will be in place on Route 125 in Plaistow NH to allow for road reconstruction work. This work will be performed, weather permitting, on Thursday, November 17, 2016.

Northbound and southbound traffic on NH 125 will be divided by a curbed median from East Road to Danville Road. A signalized intersection midway between East Road and Danville Road at the "Access Road" will be operational to assist with left turning traffic onto Route 125. A new "Service Road" from Old Road to Route 125 will also be operational for motorists who travel south onto Route 125, as left turns will not permitted from Old Road onto Route 125. Additionally, only right turns will be permitted out of all businesses and residences along Route 125 from East Road/Joanne Drive to Danville Road.

Motorists are urged to drive carefully through the work zone and obey the posted speed limit of 35 MPH.

This project involves the reconstruction of NH Route 125, beginning approximately 1,000 feet south of East Road/Joanne Drive and continuing north for one mile. The project will provide for two lanes of traffic in each direction on Route 125. Sidewalks will be constructed along both sides of Route 125 and the Service Road.

Continental Paving, Inc of Londonderry, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $6.9 million contract, which has a final completion date of October 2017.
