Daytime Ramp Closures on I-293 at Exit 4 in Manchester
Final Project Paving Work from 11/15 to 11/17

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces weather permitting, I-293 Exit 4 ramp closures in Manchester are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 15 through Thursday, November 17, from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm each day.

These temporary ramp closures are to allow for the completion of paving operations on this project. Electronic message boards and traffic control devices will be used to alert and assist motorists during the ramp closures. Motorists are encouraged to use the Exit 5 Granite Street interchange as an alternative during the ramp closures.

This work is part of the I-293 widening and bridge replacement project in the vicinity of Exit 4. The project includes the replacement of four "Red Listed" bridges and the rehabilitation of one "Red Listed" bridge at the I-293 Exit 4 interchange.

The roadwork includes: construction of a third southbound lane, beginning approximately 150 feet north of the existing northbound on-ramp and continuing approximately 0.6 mile south; Exit 4 ramps reconstruction and pavement rehabilitation; sound wall construction; drainage improvements; water line reconstruction; installation of concrete median barrier; and guardrail improvements.

Severino Trucking Inc., of Candia New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $26.2 million project, which has a completion date of November 18, 2016.
