Road and Bridge Work on Interstate 393 in Concord
Includes Culvert Replacement and Pavement Rehabilitation

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces construction work is underway on Interstate 393 in Concord and Pembroke.

This project involves replacing two culverts (54-inch diameter and 48-inch diameter) under I-393 between Exits 1 and 2, pavement rehabilitation on I-393 and exit ramps, some drainage improvements at the intersection with Main Street in Concord, replacement of bridge joints on various I-393 bridges, partial deck repairs on bridges over Portsmouth Street, replacement of median barriers and guardrails, and installing median rails and pier protection from NH Route 106 to Main Street in Concord. Daily lane closures will be necessary in order to complete the work.

All paving work will be done next year, except some pothole patching within the next two weeks.

Weaver Brothers Construction Company, of Bow, New Hampshire is general contractor of the $10.6 million project, which has a final completion date of October 17, 2017.
