The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the NH Route 11 bridge over the Connecticut River between Charlestown, New Hampshire and Springfield, Vermont will be closed to traffic for five days, from Monday, October 24 through Friday October 28, 2016 to complete the rehabilitation work to the bridge deck. The duration of the closure is dependent on favorable weather.

Detour signs for guidance to an alternate route to cross the Connecticut River will be in place on Interstate 91 and Routes 5, 103, 11, and 131 in Vermont and Routes 12, 12A, 11, and 103 in New Hampshire.

Prior to the bridge closure, current work will continue and motorists can expect one way alternating traffic and a lane restriction of eight feet.
