Final Paving On New Keene Roundabout On October 6
One-Way Alternating Traffic At NH Route 9 and Base Hill Road

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces final paving is scheduled for Thursday October 6, 2016 at the new NH Route 9/Base Hill Road roundabout in Keene, New Hampshire. This work will occur from 5:00 am until 7:00 pm.

Due to the narrow travel ways and the restrictions imposed by the new granite curbed islands, alternating one-way traffic will need to be used at times throughout the day. Significant traffic delays will occur and should be anticipated and avoided if possible.

Motorists who normally travel Base Hill Road can expect short term closures and are strongly encouraged to avoid this intersection and find alternate routes until the paving work is complete. Uniformed officers will be posted at critical intersections in the area of the project to help ease the congestion.

Weaver Brothers Construction, of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $1.6 million dollar project.
