Traffic Alignment Changes in Windham
Traffic Shift for NH 111A, Opening Range Rd. and West Shore Rd.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces planned traffic changes in Windham associated with the construction of the new I-93 northbound alignment. On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, traffic on NH 111A will be shifted from the temporary diversion roadway to the newly constructed roadway between the Common Man Restaurant and a point 1,000 feet east of that location. Also, the new Range Road Connector and West Shore Road will be opened to traffic.

On the same or following day, the existing signals at NH 111/Range Rd. intersection will be turned off and traffic control devices will be installed to simulate the final traffic configuration. The final traffic configuration will not allow for traffic to make a left turn out of Range Road to NH 111 westbound, or a left turn out of ConvenientMD to NH 111 eastbound.

The traffic transition work is scheduled to take place between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:30 pm. Alternating one-way traffic will be utilized on NH 111A during this time period. Uniformed officers, flaggers, and traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zone. Minor traffic delays can be anticipated on all three roads. In the event of inclement weather, work may be delayed until later in the week.

This work is part of the construction of the final northbound I-93 roadway alignment and northbound ramps in the vicinity of Exit 3 and the Weigh Stations. Weaver Bros. Construction of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $32.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2016.
