Cornish Public Informational Meeting
Reconstruction of a Section of Saint Gaudens Road

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a Public Informational Meeting will be held in Cornish on the planned reconstruction of Saint Gaudens Road from NH Route 12A to Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 6:00 pm, at the Cornish Town Hall, 488 Town House Road, in Cornish, NH.

The project work includes removal of the existing pavement structure, improvements to the subsurface structure, placement of new pavement, earth work, and other miscellaneous activities. The work also includes the installation of underdrains on both sides of the roadway and the replacement of the existing cable guardrail along the westerly side. A final pavement overlay will be placed from the NH Route 12A intersection to the Visitor's Center with a future NHDOT project.

The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
