Paving Work on NH Route 108 in Durham
Traffic Impacts on September 13 and 14

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces paving operations are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 13 and Wednesday, September 14, 2016 on a section of NH Route 108 in Durham.

These two days of work will entail milling and paving a 4,000-foot section of Route 108 in the area known as the "Flats", from the Row Bow Building (approximately 2,000 north of Stage Coach Road) to Bennett Road. A top coat of pavement will also be placed from the Row Boat Building to the beginning of the project near Hamel Brook.

Lane closures during these two days of paving operations will be long and traffic delays will be significant. Work hours are scheduled for 6:00 am until Midnight each day. This schedule is weather dependent, and work could be delayed until the next suitable day.

This project involves pavement rehabilitation of 1.7 miles of NH Route 108 and the addition of four-foot shoulders. F.L. Merrill Construction, of Loudon, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $4.1 million project, which has a final completion date of October 14, 2016.
