Road Work to Begin on Rt 101 in Milford
Construction to Address Safety Concerns

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that work is expected to begin on the Milford road widening project on Monday, June 20, 2016 to address safety concerns along NH Route 101, from Wilton Road approximately 2,750 feet east towards NH Route 101 Bypass.

The proposed work includes the reclamation of the existing pavement and minor widening along the business side of the roadway. The end result will provide a 12-foot wide two-way center turn lane and consistent shoulders. The project also includes curb installation, new guardrail, minor drainage improvements and limited signal upgrades. Two-way traffic to be maintained during daytime hours; expect delays due to lane shifts and construction equipment. Night time work is anticipated with one lane traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained during construction.

Busby Construction Company of Atkinson, NH is the contractor for the $1.2M project, which is scheduled for completion in October, 2016.
