Night Paving on the Spaulding Turnpike in Rochester-Milton
5.6 miles from exit 17 to exit 18 will take up to 8 nights to complete

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces plans for night paving work on the Spaulding Turnpike (NH 16), from mile marker 22.4, which is just north of the Exit 16 northbound on-ramp, to mile marker 28, which is just north of the Exit 17 northbound on-ramp.

This paving work will begin Sunday, June 12, 2016 and is expected to take up to eight nights to complete

Pavement grinding and paving will take place at night from Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 pm through 5:00 am each night, with the exception of Sunday night, which will not start before 9:00 pm. Lane closures needed to do the work will delay northbound and southbound traffic during nighttime work hours. This work is weather dependent and could be delayed due to inclement weather.

Message boards, uniformed officers, flaggers, and traffic control devices will be used to provide advanced information and direct motorists through the work zone.

This is the first phase of a large resurfacing project that extends north past exit 18 on the Spaulding Turnpike. Pike Industries Inc. of Belmont New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $3.8 million project, which is scheduled for completion in September of 2016.
