I-93 Night Work and Daytime Paving in Salem-Windham
3.4 Miles Northbound Between Exit 2 and Exit 3

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces plans to perform night work and daytime paving on the I-93 northbound in Salem and Windham between mile markers 3.2 and 6.6, from the north end of the Exit 2 on-ramp to the north end of the Exit 3 on-ramp.

The night pavement grinding (cold planing) work is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 5, 2016 and is anticipated to take three nights between the hours of 7:00 pm and 6:00 am each night. Lane closures will be utilized to perform this work.

The paving operations will begin on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 and are anticipated to take ten days to complete. Daily work hours will be between the hours of 5:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Both operations will utilize lane closures and traffic shifts that may result in minor delays to northbound traffic. This work is weather dependent and could be delayed due to inclement weather. Message boards, uniformed officers, and traffic control devices along I-93 will be used to provide advanced information and direct motorists through the work zone.

This work is the final paving for this portion of the construction of the final northbound I-93 roadway alignment and northbound ramps in the vicinity of Exit 3 and the Weigh Station. Weaver Bros. Construction of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $32.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2016.
