Traffic Sign Head Retrofitting at 90 Intersections
14 Cities and Towns in Hillsborough and Merrimack Counties

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces work is scheduled to begin Monday, May 16, 2016 on the retrofitting of traffic signal head back plates at 90 intersections in 14 cities and towns in Hillsborough and Merrimack Counties.

This project involves replacing outdated and damaged traffic signal heads, and including back plates with fluorescent yellow retro-reflective borders, or adding fluorescent yellow retro-reflective tape to existing back plates. In addition, two intersections will require the replacement of a non-compliant signal pole with a new signal pole on the existing foundation.

East Coast Signals, Inc. of Deerfield, New Hampshire, is the contractor for the $386,000 project, which has a final completion date of August 26, 2016.
