Final Paving on NH 123/124 in New Ipswich
Bridge Replacement Over Souhegan River

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces final paving work is scheduled for the NH Route 123/124 bridge replacement project over the Souhegan River in New Ipswich. Cold planing work will take place on Friday May 13, 2016. Paving operations will begin on Tuesday May 17, and end on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.

The cold planing and paving work will require one lane of alternating traffic on Routes 123/124 controlled by flaggers from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Motorists should expect longer delays during that time period. The work also includes cold planing and paving of River Road, Mill Street, and Ypya Road.

Following paving operations, remaining project work will involve line striping, landscaping, and minor off-site cleanup work. Final completion of the $3.5 million bridge replacement project is anticipated within a few weeks.
