Night Lane Closures on I-93 Near Exit 6 in Manchester
Temporary Lane Restrictions for the Next Five Weeks

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces temporary nighttime lane closures are planned on I-93 northbound and southbound in Manchester in the vicinity of Exit 6 for construction operations.

Weather permitting, the I-93/Route 101 lane closures are scheduled to take place over the next five weeks from 9:00 pm until 5:00 am each night.

These temporary night lane closures are to allow for work crews to get the roadway prepared for paving operations scheduled for the week of May 17, 2016. Electronic message boards and traffic control devices will be used to alert and assist motorists during the lane closures.

This work is part of the 3 miles of resurfacing planned at the confluence of I-93 and Route 101 in the City of Manchester. The paving treatment will be to crack seal the full width of the roadway and then overlay the traveled way with asphalt rubber bonded wearing course pavement. When the paving work is completed, the roadway traffic markings will be realigned to create an 'Exit Only' lane for I-93 northbound off-ramp traffic at Exit 6.

The Gorman Group, LLC of Albany, N.Y., is the general contractor for the $2.2 million project, which has a completion date of July 29, 2016.
