Bridge Rehabilitation Project on US Route 2 in Jefferson
Single Lane Traffic Over Israel River with Temporary Signals

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces work is scheduled to begin on or about April 15, 2016 on the rehabilitation of the US Route 2 bridge over the Israel River in Jefferson.

This project involves the construction of a new bridge deck, new rail on the bridge and approaches, rehabilitation of the bridge abutments and wings, and minor roadway approach work.

This bridge work will require alternating one-way traffic controlled by temporary signals.

Winterset Inc. of Lyndonville, Vermont is the contractor for the $1.17 million project, which has a final completion date of November 18, 2016.
