Photography Contest to Highlight General Aviation Month in March
Winning Photos Showing NH Aviation Will Be Part of a Traveling Exhibit

A "Focus on Aviation: Photography Contest & Exhibit" will launch as an online aviation photography contest on March 1, 2016 to coincide with General Aviation Month in New Hampshire.

The Granite State Airport Management Association (GSAMA) is expanding upon the inaugural Aviation Photography Exhibit that premiered in December of 2014 and traveled throughout the state in 2015.

The new contest portion of the exhibit will allow collegiate, amateur, and professional photographers to submit photos via Facebook within their respective categories. The photos must be aviation related but creativity and uniqueness is encouraged. The purpose of the exhibit is to show the diversity of New Hampshire aviation through the eyes and lenses of pilots, operators, and aviation enthusiasts. Winning photos from the online contest will be printed and displayed in an exhibit that will be hosted by Daniel Webster College, the Sheppard-McAuliffe Discovery Center, NHTI, and the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire.

New Hampshire's airports range from grass strips to 11,000 foot runways and serve everything from homebuilt helicopters to Boeing 747s. Airports in New Hampshire provides more than 9,000 jobs and strengthens the State's economy by more than $1.1 billion.

The contest is free and open to the public.
