Public Input Sessions Announced for Statewide Rest Area/Welcome and Information Center Study

CONCORD – The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) and Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED) have announced that a series of Public Input Sessions have been scheduled across New Hampshire to hear public comments about New Hampshire's Rest Areas/Welcome and Information Centers.

The sessions will take place:

  • December 1, 5:30-7:00 pm: NHDOT Office, 7 Hazen Drive, Concord
  • December 3, 3:30-5 pm: Southwest Regional Planning Commission Office, 37 Ashuelot St, Keene
  • December 8, 5:30-7 pm: Lebanon City Hall Council Chambers, 51 North Park Street, Lebanon
  • December 15, 5-6:30 pm: North Country Resources Center, 629B Main Street, Lancaster
  • January 5, 4:00-5:30 pm, Seabrook Library, 25 Liberty Lane, Seabrook

The sessions are part of a detailed study on New Hampshire's 16 state-owned Rest Areas/ Welcome and Information Centers. The study will assess traveler uses and needs, identify needed improvements, and inform overall strategic direction of the Welcome and Information Center system. The goal of the meeting is to solicit feedback on how these facilities affect the local and regional communities.
