New Exit 3 Southbound Off-Ramp to Open in Newington
Spaulding Turnpike Ramp Will Access Woodbury Avenue

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned opening of the new Exit 3 southbound off-ramp on the Spaulding Turnpike in Newington is set for the afternoon of Thursday, October 8, 2015.

The new Exit 3 southbound off-ramp will allow traffic to exit and head east across a new bridge to get to Woodbury Avenue and the malls.

The old left exit ramp was closed on July 7, 2015 while the new ramp, bridge and additional tie in roadwork were under construction.

Restrictions will remain in place until late this fall on other Exit 3 ramps. The southbound Exit 3 on-ramp will remain closed until a future traffic shift can be made. Access to the northbound on-ramp at Exit 3 will be restricted to eastbound traffic until the interchange is completed. Currently, Woodbury Avenue northbound traffic can use the northbound on-ramp. Work will continue on Woodbury Avenue east side with the anticipation that traffic signals will be installed and the northbound off-ramp will be ready to open later this fall.
