Traffic Shift to New US 4 Bridge Over Mascoma River in Lebanon
Project Continues with Road Reconstruction and Bridge Demolition

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned opening of the new US Route 4 bridge over the Mascoma River in Lebanon, which is expected to take place this week.

While the project will begin to look more like its final configuration, work this fall will include the removal of the existing bridge, reconstruction of the US 4 western approach, removal of the existing Route 4, and construction of remaining drainage.

The traffic shift to the new bridge will be followed by ongoing road reconstruction work of about 600 feet of US Route 4 on the west end approach that will require one-way alternating traffic daily from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm. Motorists should plan for some delays.

R.S. Audley Construction, of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $8.94 million project, which has a final completion date of June 2016.
