Third I-93 Northbound Lane to Open in Salem and Windham
Approximately Four Miles From Mile Marker 2 to Exit 3

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned opening of a third northbound lane on Interstate 93 in Salem and Windham.

This opening of an approximately four-mile long lane of new highway between the Exit 1 northbound off-ramp and the I-93 bridge over NH Route111 at Exit 3 is expected to occur in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 6, 2015.

This work is part of the rebuilding and widening of Interstate 93 between Salem and Manchester. A third lane on I-93 southbound in Windham and Salem was opened in the fall of 2014.

The general contractor of this $41 million contract is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc. from Windham, New Hampshire.
