Lane Closure On I-93 Southbound In Salem
Final Paving Work At Exit 2 Interchange

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces work associated with the construction of the new I-93 Exit 2 Interchange in Salem.

Weather permitting; paving operations on I-93 southbound will take place on the days and nights of Monday, July, 6 through Friday, July 10, 2015. Construction crews will be paving the final wearing course on southbound I-93 in the exit 2 area.

Construction operations will require traffic on I-93 southbound to be reduced to two lanes utilizing a lane closure. This work will take place during non-peak hours, from approximately 3:00 pm to 5:00 am.  Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

This work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc. from Windham, New Hampshire.
