Repairs to Saco River Covered Bridge in Conway
10 Days Needed to Repair Damage from Oversize Load

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces repair work is scheduled to begin Monday, April 27, 2015 on the Saco River Covered Bridge on East Side Road in Conway.

This repair work by an NHDOT Bridge Maintenance crew is expected to take 10 working days to complete. The bridge will be closed to traffic daily from 7:30 am until 3:00 pm during this time period.

An oversize vehicle recently struck and damaged 15 wooden "knee braces" on the bridge in a hit and run incident.

Also known as the Conway Covered Bridge, the bridge was built in 1890 at a cost of $4,000.
