Franconia Public Informational Meeting
NH 18 Bridge Over Lafayette Brook

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a Public Informational Meeting will be held to discuss the rehabilitation or replacement of the "Red List" bridge that carries NH Route 18 over Lafayette Brook in the Town of Franconia, NH. This project may have an effect on historic properties.

This public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Doors will open at 6:30 pm for informal viewing and discussion with NHDOT staff, and a formal presentation starting at 7:00 pm at the Franconia Town Hall, located at 421 Main Street in Franconia.

The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with the latest information regarding the proposed project including the Department's preferred Alternative to move forward with. The meeting is also to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
