Intersection Improvements on US Route 3 in Pembroke
Signalized Intersection at Pembroke Hill Rd. and Bow Lane

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces road work is getting underway this week on safety improvements on a section of US Route 3 in Pembroke.

This project will improve the safety of US 3 at the intersections of Pembroke Hill Road and Bow Lane by creating a single signalized intersection. To accomplish this, Bow Lane will be relocated directly adjacent from Pembroke Hill Road to make a true four way intersection. Traffic signals will be installed to control traffic flow between Route 3 and these side roads.

Route 3 will also be widened in the vicinity of this intersection to build left turn lanes at the signal. Sidewalks will be constructed on the West side of Route 3, and the existing sidewalks on Route 3 and Pembroke Hill Road will be rehabilitated.

Weaver Brothers Construction, of Bow New Hampshire is the prime contractor for the $1,170,000 project, which has a completion date of October 2015.
