Bridge Deck Replacement Project on Main Street in Hooksett
Main St. Bridge Over B&M Railroad, Merrimack River, & Riverside St.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces lane closures along the Main Street Bridge in Hooksett, New Hampshire associated with a bridge deck rehabilitation project that is getting underway.

Beginning on Monday, April 20, the Main Street Bridge over the Merrimack River, the B&M Railroad, and Riverside Street will be reduced to one lane of alternating one-way traffic controlled by temporary signals. This 24/7 lane reduction is necessary in order to complete the partial concrete deck replacement and resurfacing of the bridge.

It is anticipated that the bridge will be in the one-way configuration through September 2015. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes as travel delays across the bridge are anticipated. If travel across the bridge is preferred, please allow extra time for the anticipated delay.

Construction work in this bridge rehabilitation project is scheduled to be completed in October 2015. Beck and Bellucci of Franklin, New Hampshire is the prime contractor for the $1.5 million project.
