Night Work Near Exit 4 on Spaulding Turnpike in Newington
Lane Closures for Installation of Overhead Sign Structure

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT announces the planned nighttime installation of an overhead sign structure near Exit 4 on the Spaulding Turnpike in Newington.

This work is expected to take place the night of Monday, April 6, 2015. Southbound traffic delays and lane closures should be expected between the hours of 7:00 pm and 2:00 am. Traffic on the Exit 4 southbound on-ramp will also likely experience delays. Northbound traffic should not be impacted by this work.

NH State Police will be used to alert motorists to the restricted traffic conditions. It's anticipated that a rolling roadblock will be used to slow southbound traffic for up to ten minutes, giving workers time to raise the structure and reopen the road to traffic. Motorists should expect to drive more slowly through the project area during this time period.

Inclement weather would postpone this work to the following night, Tuesday, April 7.
