Night Lane Closure on I-93 Southbound in Salem
Temporary Realignment of Southbound Exit 2 Off-Ramp

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces night work associated with the construction of the new I-93 Exit 2 Interchange located in Salem.

Weather permitting; temporary realignment of the I-93 southbound off-ramp at exit 2 will take place on the night of Tuesday, November 26, 2013. This work will take place during non-commuter hours, from approximately 7:00 pm to 5:00 am. Upon completion of the paint striping operation, the southbound off-ramp traffic will be realigned to use the new off-ramp located further north of the existing location.

Construction operations will require traffic on I-93 southbound to be reduced to one lane utilizing a lane closure. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

This work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc. from Windham, New Hampshire.
