New I-93 Exit 1 Southbound Off-Ramp to Open in Salem

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the opening of the new Interstate 93 Exit 1 southbound off-ramp in Salem will take place on Friday, August 17, 2012. Opening this ramp will allow the construction of the Exit 1 southbound mainline lanes through the Exit 1 area to continue.

Work hours are anticipated to begin at 8:00 pm on Thursday evening (August 16) and will conclude with ramp traffic being shifted before 5:00 am on Friday morning. This night work and the daytime work leading up to this are weather dependent.

Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zone.

This work is part of the $30.5 million I-93 mainline widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 1. The general contractor is Middlesex Corporation of Littleton, Massachusetts.
