Saturday Blasting to Begin at I-93 Exit 3 Project in Windham
Minor Traffic Impacts on NH Route 111

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces Saturday blasting operations will begin this week at the I-93 project at Exit 3 in Windham.

Blasting on the north side of NH Route 111, between Wall Street and the southbound ramps at Exit 3, will take place for several Saturdays between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. This blasting is necessary in order to construct the new alignment of Route 111.

Traffic on Route 111 may be temporarily stopped during blasting as a safety precaution, resulting in minor delays. The Windham Fire Department will monitor the Saturday blasting activities.

These Saturday blasting operations are in addition to blasting work currently taking place Monday through Friday in the vicinity of I-93 northbound.

This project is part of the I-93 Salem to Manchester interstate improvement project in the vicinity of Exit 3. R.S. Audley Inc., of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $32 million project, which is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2016.
