Traffic Alerts Expanded to I-293 and US/NH Routes
"Know Before You Go" Information Via Twitter

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces two more Twitter web pages for traffic alerts will be activated on Monday, October 20, 2014.

  1. NHDOTI293 for Interstate I-293 to cover the 11 mile long loop surrounding the southern and western side of Manchester New Hampshire.
  2. NHDOTRoutes for all US and NH state routes. NHDOTRoute's primary purpose will be for emergency incidents affecting traffic.

To date, the NHDOT has set up and activated the following Twitter web pages: NHDOTI89, NHDOTI93, NHDOTI95, NHDOTNH101, NHDOTSpaulding, and NHDOTEverett.

To view and/or sign up for the new twitter accounts, go to the following web pages: http://twitter.com/NHDOTI293, and/or http://twitter.com/NHDOTRoutes. To become a "follower", sign up for a personal account, then follow one of the NHDOT groups. You will then begin receiving real time traffic alerts on your phone and/or email.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation strongly encourages motorists to use this traffic alert service responsibly. "Know before you go" or have a passenger access the information.
