New Southbound Segment of I-93 to Open in Windham
Traffic Being Shifted to Three-Mile Segment

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a traffic shift will be implemented this week on Interstate 93 in Windham that will place traffic on the final southbound alignment for three miles between the Windham weigh station and the Exit 2 interchange.

This shift will place traffic on the new I-93 southbound bridges over NH Routes 111 and 111A, and will set the stage for the opening of three southbound lanes between the Windham weigh station and the Massachusetts border in Salem by October 31, 2014.

Weather permitting, the planned traffic shift will take place the nights of Wednesday, September 17 and Thursday, September 18 between the hours of 8:00 pm and 5:00 am each night. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone during these hours and obey all posted signs.
