Nighttime Closure at the Hooksett Rest Area on I-93 Southbound
To Allow for Reconstruction of Southbound Off and On Ramps

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces plans to close access to the southbound rest area in Hooksett on Interstate 93 (F. E. Everett Turnpike). This closure is necessary to allow for the reconstruction of the southbound off and on ramps.

The facility, including parking, restrooms and Information Center, will be closed to visitors beginning at 9:00 pm Tuesday evening (August 26th) and will reopen at 7:00 am Wednesday morning (August 27th). The New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet store hours and operations will not be affected by the overnight closure.

This closure affects only the southbound rest area facility; the northbound rest area facility will maintain its usual hours of operation.

Traffic control barrels will be placed on I-93 along the length of the ramp tapers, and a uniformed officer will be located along the SB off ramp during the closure to prohibit access. A variable message board will be situated along I-93 southbound to the north of the facility noting the overnight closure.
