Night Paving Work to Begin at Exits 5 and 7 in Nashua
Lane and Temporary Ramp Closures for Two Weeks

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the start of nighttime paving operations on the F.E. Everett Turnpike at the Exit 5 and 7 on and off ramps in Nashua.

Weather permitting, milling and paving of the ramps will start the night of Monday, August 4, 2014. This work will occur during non-commuter hours, from approximately 9:00 pm to 5:00 am. No work is allowed Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights.

Lane closures and temporary ramp closures will be needed to complete the work. During temporary ramp closures, motorists will directed to the next exit to reverse direction. It's anticipated it will take two weeks to complete the work.

Electronic message signs will be used to inform the traveling public of upcoming work. Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to slow, direct, and assist motorists through the work zone.

This work is part of a contract that includes paving on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford, Manchester, and Nashua. Continental Paving Inc. of Londonderry, New Hampshire is the contractor for this $3.1 million resurfacing project, which is scheduled for completion in September 2014.
