Night Lane Closure on I-93 Southbound in Salem
To Allow Traffic Shift to New Bridge Over Pelham Rd.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces night work associated with the construction of Interstate 93 southbound in the vicinity of the Exit 2 Interchange in Salem.

Weather permitting; construction operations will take place on the night of Sunday, July 20. This work will consist of paving and striping of Interstate 93 in order to move traffic over the newly constructed bridge over Pelham Road.

Construction operations will require traffic on Interstate 93 to be reduced to one lane utilizing a lane closure. This work will take place during non-commuter hours, from approximately 9:00 pm on Sunday to 5:00 am on Monday (7/21). Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

This work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc., of Windham, NH.
