The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the beginning of road construction work associated with the replacement of the US Route 4 bridge over the Connecticut River between West Lebanon, New Hampshire and Hartford, Vermont.

Work will begin Monday, July 28, 2014 and continue until mid-October on reconstructing US Route 4 (Bridge Street) from the old bridge to the Route 4 and 10 intersection. Sewer, water, and drainage will be reconstructed, as well as a new roadway base, curbs, and pavement.

From July 28 until August 8, work will be done at night. After August 8, work will continue during daylight hours.

Traffic will be alternating one-way at night, and during the work hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Route 4 (Bridge Street) in West Lebanon. Delays can be expected, and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible.

CPM Constructors, Freeport Maine, is the general contractor of the $10.7 million project, which has a final completion date of June 2016.
