Ending of Toll Collection at Exit 12 in Merrimack
Ramp Toll Plazas on Everett Turnpike

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the planned discontinuance of toll collection and toll plaza removal operations at the Exit 12 northbound off and southbound on ramps in Merrimack along the F. E. Everett Turnpike.

The ending of toll collections and removal of the toll plazas at Exit 12 will be addressed in a two-phase operation.  The first phase will be the discontinuance of toll collection operations on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 9:00 pm.  Following the ending of toll collections at Exit 12, traffic will be guided along the ramp to the far right lane at each plaza utilizing traffic cones or tubes.  Toll equipment at each plaza and all toll related signing along the turnpike will be removed.

The second phase of the project will consist of the removal of the toll plaza structures and shutdown of the building facilities.  This will be completed under a construction contract that will advertise on July 15, 2014.  This project is expected to get underway in the middle of September, with a completion date of mid-December 2014.
