New Northbound I-93 Bridge to Open in Bow-Concord
Nighttime Opening Planned for Wednesday, June 11

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned opening of the new Interstate 93 northbound bridge over Interstate 89 in Bow-Concord.

This bridge opening will occur during the nighttime hours of Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Currently the new southbound I-93 bridge is handling both northbound and southbound traffic. Following the new bridge opening, there will be two lanes for traffic on both the southbound and northbound bridges.

Work will continue on the final phase of the project in the median area.

This project involves the replacement of the Interstate 93 northbound and southbound bridges over Interstate 89 in Bow-Concord. It includes the rehabilitation and resurfacing of approximately 1.1 miles of I-93 in the vicinity of the I-93 bridges, replacing the median guardrail with concrete barrier, installing overhead sign structures, replacing existing drainage, and work on the I-93 southbound off ramp to I-89 northbound.

R.S. Audley Inc., of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $14.7 million project, which has a final completion date of June 2015.
